Sirene Chocolate are a family-run organic chocolate brand founded in Victoria, Canada in 2013. Unlike almost the entire chocolate industry, which relies on inhumane labour conditions and vast inequality between farmers and chocolate makers, Sirene deals personally with smaller farms that both grow delicious beans and ensure fair conditions for their workers: direct trade, as opposed to fair trade.
Before 2024, Sirene would serve its UK customers from their Canada workshop, but this was both expensive and slow. Sirene founder Taylor Kennedy met Eirios founder Luke at a business event in Cambridge, England, and soon decided it made sense to work with Eirios on a UK operation for Sirene.
